Who publishes our education guides

DistanceVidya Education Desk is the organizational editorial identity used for Distance Vidya education guides. It represents the editorial work behind the content and is not presented as the name of an individual person.

Distance Vidya publishes guidance to help students compare education pathways and understand the checks they should make before admission. Distance Vidya is not a university or regulatory authority.

Editorial principles

  • Put recognition, eligibility and current official information before promotional claims.
  • Separate factual information from general guidance, comparisons and decision-support commentary.
  • Avoid guarantees about admission, recognition, employment, salary, promotion or career outcomes.
  • Encourage students to verify material information again before payment or enrolment.

Source hierarchy

For regulatory, recognition and admission-sensitive information, we prioritize primary and official sources where available.

  • Government and regulatory websites and notifications.
  • UGC and UGC-DEB information relevant to Online and ODL education.
  • Relevant AICTE, NAAC, NIRF or other official sources where applicable.
  • Official university websites, prospectuses, admission notices, fee information and policy documents.

Verification before publication

Information that can materially affect a student's admission decision should be checked against current official sources where those sources are available. Important examples include university or programme recognition, mode, academic session, eligibility, fees, admission deadlines, examinations and refund terms.

Articles may provide an Official Sources & Further Reading section and a verification date. Because regulations and university information can change, a verification date records when information was checked; it is not a guarantee that the information will remain unchanged after that date.

Published and reviewed dates

A published date indicates when an article was first released. A reviewed or last-verified date indicates when the content or its material source information was checked. When substantive information changes, article content and relevant modification or verification signals may be updated.

Use of digital and AI-assisted tools

Digital and AI-assisted tools may support research organization, drafting, editing, formatting or quality checks. They are not treated as authoritative sources for regulatory or university facts. Material factual claims should be checked against appropriate official sources before publication where such sources are available.

Corrections policy

If we identify a material factual error, outdated admission-sensitive information or an inaccurate source reference, we aim to review and correct it. When an official source changes, the article may also be updated to reflect the newer information.

Readers can report a possible correction by emailinginfo.distancevidya@gmail.com. Please include the article URL, the point that may need correction and, where possible, the supporting official source.

Verify before admission

Education regulations, university offerings, fees, eligibility rules and admission windows can change. Students should confirm important information with the relevant university and official authority before making an admission or payment decision.
